Netflix unveils an astonishing first gander at Luffy's Straw Cap Pirates from the impending live-action adaptation of the famous anime series, One Piece.
Netflix shared a pristine poster for the impending live-action adaptation of One Piece.
The poster features Luffy himself cheering into the sunset. In addition, the streaming goliath disclosed the work of art for the series on its page, highlighting the sum of Luffy's Straw Cap Pirates.
Details concerning the live-action series have been slow to come. Netflix requested a 10-episode series back in 2020, however, it was only after November 2021 that Netflix reported its fundamental cast members: Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar depicting Sanji, with entertainer Peter Gadiot playing privateer chief Red-Haired Shanks.
But while this is the first time audiences have seen Luffy's Straw Cap Pirates, this is not actually the first look they have had at the universe of the show. Netflix previously offered a glimpse at everything during Netflix Geeked Week in 2022. A short clasp uncovered settings including the Going Cheerful, the Straw Cap Pirates' dearest first sailing vessel; the Miss Love Duck, Iron Mace Alvida's flagship; and the Baratie, the drifting restaurant.
One Piece was made by Eiichiro Oda for Week by week Shonen Hop in 1998. The manga and the anime follow Luffy and his ragtag group, the Straw Hats. The two iterations have become immensely famous, with the manga acquiring the title of best-selling manga series ever. Until now, it has sold roughly 516.6 million copies around the world. Oda is serving as a leader maker on Netflix's live-action adaptation.
One Piece Draws the Eyes of Hollywood
The series has fans everywhere and that includes some of the stars of Hollywood, such as Jamie Lee Curtis, who has campaigned for a job in the Netflix series. The entertainer previously said she would need to play Nico Robin or Kureha in the show. Shortly after she expressed interest, Curtis turned into a famous fan-casting decision on the Internet.
Curtis' own girl, Ruby Guest, was exceptionally supportive of her mother. On the One Piece podcast, Guest made sense of, "I would be 100 percent for itself and I honestly, since Netflix is doing the live-action adaptation, I would enthusiastically prescribe her to make some things happen to see if she can."
Netflix's One Piece is scheduled to be released sometime in 2023.
